Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the adoption of Bengal kittens from California Bengal Kittens. By submitting an adoption application or reserving a kitten, you agree to these terms.
Adoption Application
- All potential adopters must complete an adoption application
- Applications are subject to approval at our sole discretion
- We reserve the right to deny any application without providing a reason
- Providing false information on an application may result in denial or cancellation of adoption
- Approval of an application does not guarantee availability of a specific kitten
Reservation and Deposit
- A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a kitten
- The deposit amount will be specified in your adoption contract
- Deposits are non-refundable except in cases where we cannot fulfill the adoption due to health issues or other circumstances on our end
- If you cancel your reservation, the deposit is forfeited
- Deposits may be transferred to another kitten at our discretion
Payment
- Full payment is due before or at the time of kitten pickup/delivery
- Accepted payment methods will be specified in your contract
- Failure to make full payment may result in forfeiture of your deposit and cancellation of the adoption
- All fees are in U.S. dollars
Kitten Pickup and Delivery
- Kittens are typically ready to go home at 12-13 weeks of age
- We will notify you when your kitten is ready
- You must arrange pickup or delivery within a reasonable timeframe
- Delivery fees (if applicable) are the responsibility of the adopter
- We reserve the right to charge boarding fees if pickup is significantly delayed
Health Guarantee
- All kittens come with our written health guarantee (see Health Guarantee page for details)
- You must have your kitten examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of adoption
- Failure to obtain veterinary examination within 72 hours may void certain aspects of the health guarantee
- Health guarantee claims must be supported by veterinary documentation
Spay/Neuter Agreement
- Unless otherwise specified in a breeding agreement, all kittens must be spayed or neutered
- Spay/neuter should be performed by the age specified in your contract (typically 6 months)
- Proof of spay/neuter must be provided to the breeder upon request
- Failure to spay/neuter may result in legal action and financial penalties
Care Requirements
By adopting a kitten, you agree to:
- Provide proper Bengal kitten care, including quality food, clean water, and appropriate veterinary care
- Keep the kitten indoors only for their safety
- Provide a safe, loving home environment
- Not declaw the kitten
- Follow all veterinary recommendations for vaccinations and preventive care
- Contact us if you can no longer care for the cat
Return Policy
- If you can no longer care for your Bengal cat at any point in their life, you must contact us first
- We reserve the right of first refusal to take back any cat we have bred
- You may not sell, give away, or surrender the cat to a shelter without our knowledge and consent
- If we take back a cat, no refund will be provided
Breeding Rights
- Kittens are sold as pets only unless a separate breeding agreement is executed
- Pet-quality kittens may not be bred under any circumstances
- Breeding without authorization is a violation of this agreement and may result in legal action
Limitation of Liability
- Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the kitten
- We are not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- We make no guarantees about show quality, breeding quality, or specific personality traits beyond general breed characteristics
Dispute Resolution
- Any disputes arising from the adoption will be governed by California law
- Both parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing legal action
- Legal proceedings will take place in California
Website Use

- You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without permission
- Photos and descriptions of kittens are accurate to the best of our knowledge but may not reflect exact current appearance
- We reserve the right to update or change website content at any time
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
